I just finished J.D Robb’s (Nora Roberts) Treachery In Death.  I just love the In Death series, and this one did not disappoint.   In Treachery, Eve already knows who the main villian is and spins her own web to catch this person.  It was interesting to see things from the villian’s point of view and the steps the villian takes in an attempt to throw Eve off.

There was more character development with Peabody stepping into her role as a detective and being the primary on not one but two cases and taking care of things herself.  Roarke, to his horror, even had to do a team briefing on his own since Eve was running behind while out in the field.  No, Roarke has not picked up a detective’s badge but is becoming more and more enmeshed as Eve’s partner while Peabody steps into her role as a detective of her own status.

Eve is as snarky as ever, which I absolutely love.  I find that her snarkiness rubs off on me sometimes….heh.
