My son gets his tonsils out today (ouch!).  He has chronic strep which he just really started getting last September.  Right around that time, strep and mono were running rampant in his school.  He ended up with a nasty case of strep that took quite a long time for him to get over–compound that with him being allergic to strep as well.  Since then he’s had strep twice more, so the doctor decided it’s time to take the tonsils out.  Hopefully he’ll heal up quickly.

Yesterday we went to the store and got him popsickles, ice-cream, pudding, and jello.  He wanted Dipping Dots, but Kroger apparently doesn’t carry Dipping Dots.  Oh well…he got enough other things to make up for it.

With chronic problems, it’s better to get them out. I had mine out at age four or five. I wish him a speedy recovery!
