My son finally got a job…at McD’s. I think he’ll be a cashier rather than the burger flipper. Now he can pay for his own car insurance, his own gas, own food…yeah!! More money kept in my pocket.

This takes me back to when I first started working. I remember my very first job was at a little diner when I was 14. I worked as a waitress, had to get up at the ungodly hour of 5:00 a.m…(on a frikkin’ Saturday),  and discovered that I really hated waitressing. Twenty-something years later and I still have never went back to waitressing.

My next job was at a fast-food restaurant. That was a lot better. For one, I didn’t have to wake up at 5:00 a.m. It was fun, and on the evenings when I closed, I brought free food home.  I worked there for a few years until I graduated from high school and started working as a cosmetologist.

Ahhh…the memories of being young.
