Zombify me…

Diana Rowland’s newest book, My Life as a White Trash Zombie.  I absolutely love the cover.

Angel Crawford is a down-and-out druggie with no life who somehow becomes a zombie, though she doesn’t know it right away…not until she discovers brains taste really, really good.  While she contemplates how she even became a zombie and who made her a zombie, there is someone out there who is looking out for her though she doesn’t have a clue who.  This person also gets her a job  as a morgue tech, which she ends up loving.  She comes to realize her life is worth living–even as a zombie–and digs herself out of the trenches.

She also comes to realize that she has pretty good detective skills when people around her start getting killed…and the killer? Wow…totally unexpected.  Oh yeah, we also find out who’s looking out for her. Again, totally unexpected.

Normally I’m not into the whol zombie thing, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I really liked this book.  The character devlopment is realistic in so many ways. You can’t help but feel bad for Angel at times, and when she has triumphs you feel good for her and rejoice with her.

Now, I’m hungry. But, is it HUNGER or just hunger? Hmmmmm….
