Hawaiian fun

This past weekend was my youngest’s birthday. She turned 10! We had a Hawaiian theme complete with a Hawaiian cabana cake; a feast of shishkabobs made with ham, pineapple, and Maraschino cherries; orange-glazed pineapple; spinach dip with Hawaiian bread;  bananas; various cheeses and crackers; Macadamia nuts, and a punch made with apricot nectar, lemonade, pineapple juice, ginger ale and garnished with slices of pineapple, limes, and oranges.

We decked the house out in palm trees, nets, fish, and flowers, and each girl received a lei upon arriving.

I even taught them to dance the Hula and speak some phrases, though I’m not Hawaiian nor do I speak the language or dance the Hula.  It’s amazing what you can find on the internet!

We also spent a few hours at the local roller-skating rink where the girls had a blast. It’s been years since I’ve roller skated.  It took a few times around the rink for me to regain my skating feet again!

The girls had so much fun! Now, I’m contemplating having a Halloween party…we’ll see.

I was just seeking this information for a while. After 6 hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your website. I wonder what is the Google’s issue that doesn’t rank this kind of informative websites closer to the top. Usually the top sites are full of garbage. I bookmarked your web page: https://tonyakerrigan.wordpress.com/2011/10/10/hawaiian-fun/ and will check back often. Thanks for the awesome post!
