I’m having a hard time keeping my butt in the chair. Since I work from home, it makes it even harder to stay seated and WORK. I just don’t want to do it. Instead, I find my mind wandering to other things I could be doing…working on my WIP, planning out the next book, reading a book I want to get done, housework, etc., etc.

As a result, my production has went way down, meaning my paychecks are suffering because of it.

You’d think making more money would keep me seated, but I’m just not finding satisfaction in what I do anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I still love that I can work from home and be with my kids, but I’m getting tired of doing medical transcription. Instead when I sit here at my computer, I want to create, not type out what someone else is dictating.

Part of it might be the changing seasons too. My body feels that hibernation mode is starting to kick in and wants to do other things rather than hunker down at my computer all day. Maybe I’d be like this no matter what type of work I was doing.  I don’t know.    

Anyone else feeling this way?

Any suggestions on how to keep my butt glued to the chair?
